Hi there
Three days ago, I came from my trip to Isle of Sky (Highlands). I felt under the weather (pachucho) during the first and second day, so I couldn’t enjoy like I would have liked (como me huviera gustado).
We stayed in a college’s facilities. It is a building where student’s find accommodation to study, but I think that since it was holidays, there were some vacancies (habitaciones libres)for us.
We had to get up early those 2 mornings and the breakfast was remarkably good. The first time, I went twice to ask for eggs, roasted (asado) tomatoes, sausages, mushrooms, toasts… and finally I went to serve myself a bowl of kellogg´s and a coffee. So the first time I was full for almost the rest of the day and week. Even I could save 2 croissants to eat during the day. The second day we were popular around the college because the previous night we were slightly (un poco) noisy; a woman came twice to our room to tell us to turn down our volume, and the last time she was so angry that when she knocked our door, another partner in her fifties (cinuentañera) woke up because of that, as she told us the next morning. Our trip partner tell us that we wrere a bit loudly but she could sleep well untill that girl knocked the door. I didn’t make much noises and we tried to remember us to turn down or voice, so I think that wasn’t a big deal (no fue para tanto).
Anyway, that night we didn’t know that we were going to climb a big mountain the next day. If I knew I wouldn’t had drunk 9 beers that night. I am joking of course. So, the next day I was still feeling under the weather and like these kinds of trips in the van (minibus), we were spending a half of the trip on it. But after around 2 hours on the van, I found myself walking to the top of a mountain. At the beginning it was a pain in the neck, but I don’t know whether (if) it was that I swore (sude) all the viruses or it was the adrenaline of the moment, but I started to feel better. I think that maybe we were not allowed to go to the top because our guide was waving(moviendo los brazos) us from down there, so our satisfaction of having reached the top didn’t last (duró) much. We took some nice pictures of our group on the top that I would like to share with you but I haven’t got them yet.
Concerning the weather, we were so lucky since our second day was totally sunny, windy though, and the last day was slightly rainy, snowy, windy and very cold, but we spend most of the day in the van. Quite tired in general due to (debido a) the previous nights. Surprisingly the last night I went sooner than most of people to my room to sleep because I couldn’t stay awake any longer. But the rest went back to their rooms only fifteen minutes after so by the time my room mate came to my room I was still awake. She was a bit drunk and took off her clothes and went to my bed… I wish LOL just joking. We were sleeping in a minute.
So here you have the proof (prueva) of what I am talking about:
The guy who is going to vomit says that in that position he gets less dizzy (se marea menos) I can’t believe it!
By and large (en conclusion) I wasn’t in the mood to (no tenia humor para) this trip because of the sickness. But still I will hold some good memories from this trip.
